Good Book, Good Man, Good Coffee: John x reader

John opened your car door and held out a hand to help you out. "We're here! Your dream date!" John said with that adorably goofy smile of his. You look behind him to see the old stone building that you absolutely love. "The book store!" You said with a gaps, "you listened to me!" John just smiled, "Well of course I did! Good boyfriends always take notes one what their girlfriends want, I'm just lucky mine likes books more than diamonds." You smiled and gave John a hug and kiss. "Thank you," you smiles sweetly causing a small blush to crawl on to johns cheeks. "Shall we?" John took your hand and led you inside the store.
Your eyes lit up seeing the isles of books and you knew just where to go. You lead the way to your favorite section with John following in toe. You stopped and started skimming the shelves looking for a title that called to you. In the corner of your eye you could see John smiling as he watched you look over the books. Finally you had narrowed the decision down to two books and you held them up to John. "They both sound amazing... You pick." John paused for a moment and then randomly pointed to the book in your left hand. "You can get that one next time you come back," he smiled and gave you a quick kiss before taking the book from your hand and going to pick out one for himself.
One John had payed for the books, even though he refused your offers to buy your own, he led you over to the small café in the corner of the store. He gave you the books and went to order two coffees for you both and came back with a smile. "They had your favorite," he grinned handing you your drink. You took the drink from him, "Thank you so much."  The smell of coffee filled your nose as the atmosphere of the calm and quite book shop set you at ease. It was perfect. Just like a scene in the movies. A good book, good man, and good coffee. As you both began to read John stood up and kissed your forehead. "I'll be right back, I need to use the restroom." You nodded and to trotted off out of sight behind the tall selves of books.
You look down and continue to read until John finally comes back. "So! Ready to go? It's been a few hours already and I know your shift at work starts soon." You nod and stand up gathering your things and following John out of the store and back to the car. He drives you home and walks you too your front door with a smile. "I had a great time today John, it was perfect." John smiles in return. "I'm glad, I wouldn't have it any other way for you. But before I leave, I have a surprise!"
John pulls something out from behind his back. "Here!" He grins handing it to you. "John!" You gaps, in his hands was the other book you wanted to buy but had put back. "Oh John, you didn't have to do that! Just one was more than enough!" You smile blushing. "I know, but I wanted to. I'm lucky enough to have an amazing girlfriend like you, buying you an extra book you wanted is the least I can do. I just want to make you happy!" You couldn't hold back and you wrap your arms tightly around John who hugs you in return with the book still in his hands. "I love you John. So much. I'm so lucky to have you," You whisper in his ear. John pulls back blushing but not letting you go, "Trust me. I'm the lucky one." You both smile and John pulls you into a gentle but passionate kiss. You say your goodbyes and head inside as John leaves you with the happiness of completing your dream date.
