Candy Shop: Reader x Feferi

You let out a sigh as the wind ran through your hair and the sun hit your face.
The air smelled salty and fresh, you've missed that smell. Your headphones were plugged in tight with music blasting as your mom drove you to the beach house your grandma lives in. School had ended, thank god, and that meant it was time for you to spend the summer helping out at your grandmothers beach side candy shop. But hey, that was better then flying out to your dad and his psychotic girlfriend's house for the summer. You took a deep breath enjoying the fresh air.
Before you knew it you were at your grandmothers house and putting your bags in the guest room. You loved your grandma and loved helping her at the shop. You've been spending your summers like this since you were 13 years old, it was a good change of pace and not to mention you got some extra spending cash from it. Your grandmother walks into the room and gives you a big hug. "It's so good to see you dear! I have a feeling this summer will be a special one!" Your grandma says enthusiastically. "I hope so, how's the shop been doing?" You smile back at her. "Oh it's been fine, all the tourists come in and buy a handful of things. The usual business." You both laugh and talk for a while until grandma heads off to make dinner. 
You decide to go watch the sunset at the beach because it's one of your favorite things to do here when you have the time. As you sit in the sand you let out a sigh. "It's beautiful isn't it?" A voice says from behind you. You look back to see a beautiful girl with tan skin, long wavy brown hair, and brown eyes. Freckles kisses the cheeks and bridge of her nose where her glasses sat.  "Mind is I sit?" She asked with a soft smile. You nod blushing at little at the fact such a beautiful girl is talking to you. "So I haven't seen you around here before," The girl says sitting next to you in the sand. "Oh, um yeah. I come for the summers," You reply softly.
"Oh so you don't live here?" The girl asked tilting her head as she looked at you. "No, I'm staying with my grandma until school starts again."

"Oh, that's fun!" she smiles. "My name's Feferi by the way, what's yours?" Wow, Feferi, such a pretty name. It really suited her well. "I'm _______," You reply with a soft smile. "Wait... ______? Does that mean you're granny's kid?" She says as her eyes light up. "Um, if you're talking about my grandma who runs the candy shop then yeah. I'm helping her with the shop over summer." Feferi really seemed to like your grandma, it wasn't hard to understand why, she was a great person. "That's awesome! I'll see you a lot then!" Feferi giggled and you hoped she was right. You both turn back and watch the sunset in a peaceful silence.

~A few days later~

You were cleaning some sugar of the counter of your grandmother's store. You hear the door chime as someone came in, as you look up your gaze met hers. "Hey! _______ right?" Feferi said with a bright bubbly smile. Damn she was beautiful... Her wave brown hair shaped her rounded face and fell to her mid back. At first look her hair may seem like a curly mess but after it turns into a perfect sea with one wave curling after the other. Her shoulders were sun kissed and freckled along with her cheeks and nose. She was a bit thicker then most but still held an obvious hour glass figure giving her curves in all the right places. "O-Oh hey Feferi. Can I help you with something?" You ask nervously as you blush a little. She was wearing a thigh length aqua mini skirt with pink flowers on it and a black crop top. The look on most girls would seem slutty but there was something about her that gave the outfit class. "Yeah! I was wondering if you had any salt water taffy made for the week?" She replies with a soft smile. 
"Yeah," You say finally getting a hold of your cool. You walk out from behind the counter and lead her over to the taffy wall. "All of them were freshly made this morning," You say running a hand through your hair. She combs over the taffy mumbling to herself. "Well I got him blue raspberry last week... So I guess I could try watermelon this week?" Him? Who is him? Feferi takes a handful of the watermelon taffy and then smiles, "Can I get this gift wrapped please?" You nod and your heart sinks a little. She already has someone. You head back behind the counter and get a cute wrap back and wrap up her taffy. "These for someone special?" You punch yourself mentally for asking. "Eh, kind. I mean they're for a friend in the hospital, he jumped off a moving boat and the propeller cut him across the waist. But it's not to serious since the boat was barely moving, yet he acts like he was about to die... I visit him once a week so he has someone to talk to and can hopefully stop complaining so much about everything." She says with an eye roll as she talks about him.
"Well that's unfortunate but at least he has a friend like you," You say looking down. "So is there anything special between you two?"

Feferi bursts out laughing "Me?! With him?!" She was laughing so hard she snorted. "No, he's like a little annoying brother to me. But... There is someone I'm interested in," She smiles softly and blushes at she looks at you. You blush a little in return as your heart flutters. "Well I think I should be heading out, will you be watching the sunset again today?" You smile at the thought of watching it with her again. "Yeah, I will."

From then on it became a daily thing to go to the beach and watch the sunset together. You and Feferi would stay and talk for hours even after the sun had gone down. You told each other about school and friends, your home situations, plans for the future and more. It seems like everything was shared on that beach. Once a week Feferi would come in to buy taffy for her friend in the hospital, and when he got released she still came in just to sit and talk with you or help around the shop. One day towards the end of summer Feferi came into the shop to pick out some candy for herself. She plops everything down on the counter setting her keys, phone, and sunglasses with the candy. "Morning ______!" She says with a sweet smile. "It's lovely today isn't it?" She asked making small talk. You look her in the eyes and blush a little, "Yeah. It really is." Feferi blushes in return and looks down. "W-Well I should get going!" She says as she grabs her little bag of candy, wallet, cell phone and sun glasses. She rushes to the door and you realize she left her keys.
"Wait! Feferi!" You call out to her. "You forgot something!" Feferi stops at the door and spins on her heels blushing like mad. She marches over to you and grabs your shirt as she leans over the counter and pulls you into a kiss. Your eyes go wide and you blush but kiss her back reaching a hand up to her cheek. You both pull back and gaze into each others eyes for a moment. "Is that what I forgot?" Feferi asked biting her lip while her cheeks were still red. "No... You left your keys." You blush handing her the set of keys. You both pause and after a few seconds you both burst out laughing. "But I liked the kiss too," You add looking at her. "Good. Then we feel the same," She smiles. She leans over and gives you another kiss before leaving your Granny's Candy Shop.
